Rejuvenating Ideas for a Pumping Mama

You are a mother. You’re radiant. Nurturing. Alluring. You’re bosomy. Curvaceous. Buxom. Yes, you are sexy.

But odds are—with all the pumping and feeding, pumping and feeding, pumping and feeding—you don’t feel sexy. These days, most likely you feel more like a sweaty, pungent, engorged cow.

We know.

So here are a few tips on bringing your sexy back in the New Year.

  • Find time to take a bath in the evening. Use rich bubbles or bath salts. Fragrance the water. Wash slowly and languidly. Enjoy this stolen time to appreciate and nurture your own miraculous body.
  • Moisturize your skin. When you feel soft, supple and fragrant, you’re likely to feel a bit sexier.
  • Write a note for your partner saying, “I need to know you still find me sexy and beautiful. Please tell me sometime soon. I will tell you too. I love you.” Put it in a place that he or she is likely to find soon.
  • Remember to light candles in the evening. There’s something about that glow that can reset your mood and your self-awareness.
  • Your breasts are hard at work. And so is your cleavage. Wear a low-cut shirt tomorrow, just because you can.
  • Buy a new pair of sexy shoes. Even if you have no place to where them in the foreseeable future, it doesn’t matter. This works.
  • Put on makeup when you leave the house, even for the grocery store. A little bit of lipstick goes a long way, baby.
  • Stop avoiding mirrors. Find yourself in the reflection. Honor your presence and your radiant skin.
  • Plan a date. Really put some thought and romance into it. Enjoy the anticipation as the event approaches.
  • Rub your partner’s feet. Have him rub yours. This reciprocal energy will help rejuvenate you both. And lead…who knows where?

You are one sexy mother. If all else fails repeat that to yourself daily. You are One. Sexy. Mother.
