User Reviews [2]

“I'd like to take a moment to proclaim my love for my Spectra 9!! The fact that I can pump while packing lunches, folding laundry (even setting up for an event at church today) has revolutionized my pumping experience! As a working mom of three, time is precious and multi-tasking makes me happy. Not only is this pump convenient, it's actually comfortable. I keep finding myself checking to see that I'm actually pumping because I don't [experience] the tugging and pulling.”

“I'm currently on baby #4. I pump regularly at work and on business trips, and also pump to donate milk…Hands-down, this is my favorite of the all [my] pumps. It is lightweight and tiny, a little bigger and a lot lighter than a soda can. The suction is fantastic. I find that it's effective and a little easier on my nipples…I absolutely love the little screen, which includes a timer and a battery life indicator, and is bright enough to be used as a nightlight. It is a closed system, so there's no way for milk to get into the pump.”

“Pump works great and is easy to clean. Very easy to use out of the box…[It’s] portable, easy to clean, easy to use, wide neck bottles are compatible with other wide neck bottles like Chico.”

Pros:
1. Portable with rechargeable battery (you don't have to buy an extra battery pack and stock up on AA batteries like other models).
2. Strong suction - comparable to hospital grade.
3. Battery life - I would say I'm comfortable using it 3 times with 20 minutes sessions
4. It fits in the pocket of my robe so I can multi-task. And yes, the screen works as a nightlight.
5. This has massage and expression functions, which can help with let down first.
6. There is a timer on the screen, which now makes me wonder, why don't other machines have that simple, super awesome function?
7. There's a back flow preventer cap…so there's no risk of back flow of breast milk into the machine.
8. The nipples on the bottle is wide at the base. My daughter latched on to it better than she did to our Dr. Brown bottles.

Cons:
1. "The parts do not match anything else that I have so you can only purchase extra accessories through their website. “
